Senior .NET Developer (WinForms / DevExpress UI) Location: Remote, LATAM (Argentina, Brazil, or Costa Rica preferred). Full-time, with working hours overlapping US Eastern Time. 📌 Summary You'll modernize the user experience of a mature, feature-rich Windows desktop application, turning dense configuration screens into clear, guided flows. Working from Figma designs and a pre-configured .NET and DevExpress WinForms project template, you'll build one polished screen at a time and hand it off to our client's engineering team for integration. This is a long-term, full-time role for a senior UI developer who cares about getting desktop interfaces exactly right. ✅ Requirements (Must-Haves) -Excellent English communication skills. You will interact directly with clients, walk through screen requirements with their engineering team, ask sharp clarifying questions, and explain your implementation decisions clearly in writing and on calls. -6+ years of professional C# / .NET development, with 4+ years building production Windows Forms (WinForms) user interfaces. -2+ years of hands-on DevExpress WinForms experience within the last 3 years (2023 to 2026), including LayoutControl, GridControl, editors, and skins or custom themes. -Proven ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate desktop UI: spacing, typography, states, icons, and responsive resizing -Experience building multi-step, guided workflows in desktop apps (wizards, step progress, conditional navigation, validation per step). -You build UI components that are clean to integrate: well-structured UserControls and forms, a clear separation between presentation and logic (MVP, MVVM, or similar), and obvious, documented extension points for another team to wire in data and behavior. -You work independently from a spec and a template, deliver on a steady cadence, and flag ambiguity early instead of guessing. ✅ Requirements (Nice-to-Haves) -Experience working with DevExpress SVG skins, skin editor, palettes, and theme customization at the application level. -Familiarity with DevExpress wizard and navigation components (WizardControl, StepProgressBar, AccordionControl, NavigationFrame). -Background in UX or UI modernization projects: replacing grid-and-checkbox heavy screens with progressive, task-oriented flows. -High-DPI and multi-monitor scaling experience in WinForms. Experience writing short handoff notes or integration guides for each deliverable. -Exposure to WPF or other desktop UI frameworks, so you understand the tradeoffs and can borrow good patterns. -Experience working in an Agentic Development environment (spec definition, AI agent delegation for code creation, human-in-the-loop review). Familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, or similar harnesses and AI Skills. 🌟 Bonus Points -You've built UI for complex, data-dense professional desktop tools used by technical specialists. -You have a real eye for design: you notice when a margin is off by 4px and you care about empty states, error states, and keyboard navigation. -DevExpress certifications, published UI component libraries, or open source contributions to .NET desktop tooling. -A portfolio or screenshots of desktop UI work you're proud of.
